2017
I grew up on a farm southwest of Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School and then my education continued at Dakota State University with a degree earned in Elementary Education. My career included teaching positions at Franklin, SD, followed by moves to Colorado Springs, Sioux City and Custer before coming to Estelline in 1978. The 32 years at Estelline were the highlight of my 44 years in education and I will always be grateful to Bruce Carson, Superintendent, and the board members for giving me a chance to be a part of the Estelline School District.
After retiring in 2010, Tom and I moved to Lake Poinsett and we are enjoying life at the lake. We look forward visits with our 3 children and their families, including 5 grandchildren. Retirement activities include lake activities, some travel, volunteering for AARP projects in the Estelline community and spending time with family and friends. The 32 years with the staff and wonderful families in the Estelline School District were memorable and it is my privilege to continue to be a part of the school family, now from the sidelines.
