Attached is the schedule for the JH VB tournament at Hamlin on Saturday, September 26th. Bus will leave Estelline at 8AM.
Last week, PK-12th grade kicked off Homecoming with an assembly. The assembly included Redhawk Way recognition for students whose teachers have noticed them demonstrating the school’s core values of Respect, Effort, Dedication, Honesty, Accountability, Wisdom, and Kindness. Students were called to the front of the gym and recognized for how they've lived out those values, and they received a certificate and a star sucker. Congratulations to September's Redhawk Way Winners!

Due to the weather, today's JH football game has been rescheduled to Friday, September 25th at 4:00pm in Baltic.
Varsity is still scheduled for 7:00pm tonight at Beckman Field. The Alumni meal will be in the lunchroom from 5:30-7:00. Go Redhawks!

Today, 7 of our students represented Estelline at our 3rd annual DVC Leadership retreat in White. Along with 80 other 9th - 12th grade students from the other 10 Dakota Valley Conference schools.
The retreat was led by the DVC Activities Directors. The students had an opportunity to listen to our keynote speaker - current SD Athletic Director of the Year, Cory Aadland of Mitchell High School. He spoke on the importance of student leadership in schools and how that looks for students.
The students also broke off into mixed groups and made presentations on different topics related to student leadership in schools. Students will take what they learned today back to their school hallways and were challenged to lead positively in their buildings. It was a great day of learning, leading, and collaborating.

Due to the rainy forecast we are cancelling Friday morning's parade, but our Homecoming Pep Assembly is STILL ON! Please join us at 11:15 in the HS Gym to celebrate the REDHAWKS.
Students will be engaging in indoor activities Friday morning--reminder that all students are dismissed at NOON this Friday, September 18.
If you were planning to have a float and already purchased treats to share at the parade, you are welcome to drop them off at the school any time Thursday and we'll distribute to our students.
